It all started when…
Growing up on ten acres at the base of Mt Archer, Rockhampton, Central Queensland, my parents wanted to bring their children up with the abundance of what growing up on the land can give … fresh fruit, seasonal vegetables, fresh milk & eggs, and a wide space in which to roam, play and swim. My parent’s love of gardening took hold on our acreage, spending hours together, creating gardens wherever they could.
My love of nature and the sea, saw the first buds of Posy begin to unfold about twelve years ago, with an intense desire to start working in floristry. Following a few courses and one-on-one training in Brisbane, I jumped straight in, selling flowers from my friend’s retail space initially, to selling arrangements and basing my business in my own retail venture, Lure Living, in Yeppoon, Central Queensland, for five years.
Upon selling this business in 2018, Posy has taken on a new direction, focusing on Weddings, Events, Workshops & Corporate work. My love for all things floral, continues to burn bright, and I am constantly researching and updating my floristry know-how and ideas.
The rewarding feeling I receive, when first offering someone their floral arrangement, wedding bouquet, or room full of centrepieces, never dulls, and continues to drive me to do what I passionately love to do.
